Single wavelength Photon Doppler Velocimetry measurements of shock interactions with both mono and polydisperse particle curtains are performed in the LANL Horizontal Shock Tube. Measurements in the monodisperse case are validated using planar Mie scattering and time-resolved shadowgraphy. Shadowgraphy data is also used to estimate span-wise averaged volume fraction in the monodisperse case. These validated measurements are used to calculate a high time-resolution estimate of particle drag and particle Reynolds number in a low volume fraction and low Mach number regime.
